Mark Miller
Mark was born in a rather normal town in the state of Kansas on March
17, 1984. As a young lad, he wanted to learn drums with his brother,
but was denied because his mother said, "you don't have any rhythm."
And it was true. But he started drumming with pencils and at the age
of 14, transfered his new found rhythmic skills over to guitar.
After graduating high school in 2002, Mark moved to Fort Wayne,
Indiana, where he studied music for two years at Indiana Purdue
University Fort Wayne (IPFW). There he met his third cousins who grew
up as missionary kids in Japan.
Though separated for all of their lives, they became fast friends and
virtually first cousins, and before long - 2005 to be precise - Mark
made his first trip to Japan with them to do concerts in Karuizawa.
In November 2006 (with only 1 sushi eating experience under his belt),
Mark moved to Japan to be with the Christians in the Arts Network
(CAN). To sum it all up, he spends his time networking artists
together, writing and performing music, and building friendships - all
with the purpose of sharing in the love of God.
