jimmy dormire
Born and raised near Detroit Michigan USA. Attended Berklee School of Music in 1978 for the Summer session to study jazz theory. 1979 thru 1982 played professionally around the Detroit area and throughout the midwest onto Southern Florida. Moved to Nashville Tennessee in 1990 and began doing sessions and freelance guitar work until taking the lead guitar position with multi platinum Atlantic recording artists "CONFEDERATE RAILROAD" in 1995. With the success of two initial platinum albums, Confederate Railroad and Notorious along with one grammy nomination then on to record, When and Where,The Maverick Movie Soundtrack, Party Pack, Keep on Rockin, Greatest Hits, Unleashed, Cheap Thrills and The Very Best Of Confederate Railroad. Jimmy's 14 year guitar position involved playing a bluesy Southern rock style drenched in roots music traditions. 2008 marks the year for guitarist Jimmy Dormire's debut CD "PREMONITION".
